The History of Zen Space Desks (Now Stando.)

Welcome to Stando. Here's a bit about us, how we got here and where it all began. In 2011 I was studying at Uni and spending long periods sitting and studying. I remember feeling lethargic and lacked energy which ultimately effected my focus. I had heard about standing desks and started searching for options. 

That research led me to understand that the category was booming in the USA and despite the clear evidence that standing desks were important for health, focus, concentration and our daily energy levels, here at home there was no standing desks available direct to consumer. After importing a few parts, I started to design my first standing desk. Friends were very quick to comment "I'd buy that" and that got the ball rolling. Zen Space Desks was a pioneer in standing desks in Australia.

Before long the market was saturated with want to be standing desk companies. Never one to settle, and after much customer feedback and after almost 10 years, I could see the future in this great industry was to be able to truly put meaning to the word 'custom' and apply that not only to the desk but the surrounding space as well, all whilst delivering a truly memorable personal experience. Ecommerce has become so dull, with chat bots, automated emails and just poor communication in general. I want to re introduce a perfect product with  personality that an ecommerce business can have and to do this I created Stando.

What happened to Zen Space Desks?

After almost 10 years behind the wheel of the Zen Space Desks brand it was time for a change in direction. Stando is here to offer a more bespoke range of product while providing a more personable experience. Stando will support warranties of Zen Space Desks products.
